VVG (ВВГ)

Application

VVG cables are designed for transmission and distribution of electric energy in stationary installations at a nominal voltage of 0.66 kV and 1 kV at a frequency of 50 Hz. Laying and operation: in the air in the absence of the risk of mechanical damage, as well as in soil (in trenches) with low corrosion activity without the effect of tensile forces.

VVG cable with copper single-wire or multi-wire cores (strands), insulated with polyvinyl chloride plastic, twisted together (except for single-strand version), in a common polyvinyl chloride sheath. The sheath in multi-core cables follows the shape of the twisted cores. Cables with a strand cross-section from 1.5 to 35 mm2 have a single-wire strand design. At the customer's request, cables with a strand cross-section from 16 to 35 mm2 can be manufactured in a multi-wire design.

Main Technical Specifications

- Nominal voltage: 660V, 1000V.
- Ambient temperature during operation: -50C to +50C, relative air humidity up to 98% at temperatures up to +35C.
- Bending radius: not less than 10 times the outer diameter of the cable (for single-strand cables) and not less than 7.5 times the outer diameter of the cable (for multi-strand cables).
- Flexibility class of conductors: 1 or 2.

Construction/Design

Conducting strand: copper, twisted or single-wire.
Insulation: PVC compound I40-13A.
Sheath: PVC compound O-40.
